गोवर्धन पूजा
गोवर्धन पूजा प्रति वर्ष दीपावली के दूसरे दिन कार्तिक मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की प्रतिपदा तिथि को की जाती है।
आगरा में भी पूरे देश की भांति आज गोबर्धन पूजा जोर से हो रही है। सुबह से ही गाय का पवित्र गोबर एकत्र कर के गोबर्धन महाराज बनाए जा रहे हैं। गोबर से घरों में छोटे और चौराहों पर बड़े बड़े गोबर्धन बन रहे हैं। सामूहिक गोवर्धन पूजन की भी तैयारी चल रही हैं। बेलनगंज तिकाेनिया, सनातन धर्म सभा मंदिर शहजादी मंडी, महाराजा अग्रसेन भवन कमला नगर, बल्केश्वर, गणेश चौक कमला नगर, ट्रांस यमुना कॉलोनी आदि क्षेत्रों में गोवर्धन महाराज की सामूहिक पूजा की जाएगी। मनुष्य के आकार के होते हैं। गोबर्धन तैयार करने के बाद उसे फूलों और पेड़ों का डालियों से सजाया जाता है। गोबर्धन को तैयार कर शाम के समय इसकी पूजा की जाती है। पूजा में धूप, दीप, नैवेद्य, जल, फल, खील, बताशे आदि का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है। पूजा करने के बाद गोबर्धनजी की परिक्रमा की जाती है। सात परिक्रमाएं करते वक्त गोबरधन महाराज की जय बोली जाती है। परिक्रमा करते समय एक व्यक्ति हाथ में पानी का लोटा और दूसरे हाथ में खील लेकर चलते हैं। जल लेकर चलने वाला व्यक्ति पानी की धारा गिराते हुए और दूसरे लोग जौ बोते हुए परिक्रमा करते हैं। गोबर्धनजी एक पुरुष के रूप में बनाए जाते हैं। इनकी नाभि की जगह पर एक कटोरी या मिट्टी का दीपक रखा जाता है। फिर इसमें दूध, दही, गंगाजल, शहद, बताशे पूजा के समय डाले जाते हैं। बाद में इसे प्रसाद के तौर पर बांटा जाता है।
भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने आज ही के दिन इंद्र का मानमर्दन कर गिरिराज की पूजा की थी। इंद्र के भारी वर्षा प्रकोप से बचाने के लिए कृष्ण जी ने पर्वत को अपनी एक अंगुली से उठाया और सारे गोपी गोपिकाएं उस के नीचे आ गए। उस दिवस को याद करते हुए ही गाय के पवित्र गोबर से गोबर्धन बनाया जाता है।
आज के दिन गोमाता की भी पूजा की जाती है।उनका पूजन करके, भोजन कराना चाहिए, जल पिलाना चाहिए व एक परिक्रमा करनी चाहिए। गोबर्धन पूजा के दिन गोबर्धन पर्वत की परिक्रमा करने से भी विशेष फल की प्राप्ति होती है। गोवर्धन गिरि भगवान के रूप में माने जाते हैं और इस दिन घर में उनकी पूजा करने से धन, धान्य, संतान और गोरस की वृद्धि होती है।
आज ही के दिन अन्नकूट बनाने की भी परंपरा है। द्वापर युग से शुरू हुए इस पर्व के बारे में कहा जाता है कि भगवान कृष्ण ने गोबर्धन महाराज की पूजा व गायों को भोजन कराने के लिए 56 या 108 साग सब्जियों से भोजन बनवाया था। आज भी अन्नकूट घरों में बनाया जा रहा है। इसके अतिरिक्त्त मंदिरों में अन्नकूट के भंडारे हो रहे हैं, सड़कों पर टेंट लगा कर हो रहे भंडारों पर भी भीड़ देखी जा रही है।
पांच दिवसीय दीपोत्सव का आज चौथा दिन है। कल भाई दूज के साथ ही इस पर्व का समापन हो जाएगा।

Govardhan Puja
Govardhan Puja is done on the second day of Diwali every year on Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month.
Like in the whole country, Govardhan Puja is being done loudly in Agra. Govardhan Maharaj is being collected from the morning by collecting the sacred cow dung. Small cow dung is being made in the houses with dung and big cow dung is being built on the squares. Preparations are also underway for Mass Worship. Govardhan Maharaj will be worshiped collectively in areas such as Belanganj Tikainia, Sanatan Dharm Sabha Mandir Shahzadi Mandi, Maharaja Agrasen Bhawan Kamla Nagar, Balkeshwar, Ganesh Chowk Kamla Nagar, Trans Yamuna Colony etc. Human beings are shaped. After preparing gobardhan, it is decorated with branches of flowers and trees. Gobardhan is prepared and worshiped in the evening. Incense, lamp, naivedya, water, fruit, kheel, batashe etc. are used in the puja. Govardhan Ji is circumambulated after worshiping. Govardhan Maharaj Ki Jai is spoken while doing seven circumambulations. While doing the circumambulation, a person walks with a ball of water in his hand and a ball with the other hand. A person carrying water circled while pouring a stream of water and others sowing barley. Govardhan Ji is made as a male. A bowl or earthen lamp is placed in place of their navel. Then milk, curd, gangajal, honey, Batashe are put in it during worship. Later it is distributed as Prasad.
Lord Krishna worshiped Giriraj by honoring Indra on this day. To protect Indra from the heavy rains, Krishna raised the mountain with one finger and all the gopi gopikas came under him. Gobardhan is made from the sacred cow dung by remembering that day.
Gomata is also worshiped on this day. After worshiping her, she should have food, feed water and do a parikrama. Revolving the Gobardhan mountain on the day of Gobardhan Puja also brings special fruit. Govardhan Giri is considered as God and worshiping him at home on this day leads to increase in wealth, grain, progeny and gurus.
There is also a tradition of making Annakoot on this day. It is said about this festival that started from Dwapar Yuga that Lord Krishna had made food with 56 or 108 greens for worshiping Gobardhan Maharaj and providing food to cows. Even today, Annakoot is being built in homes. Apart from this, there are stores of Annakoot in the temples, there is also a crowd on the tents on the streets.
Today is the fourth day of the five-day festival. Tomorrow, this festival will end with Bhai Dooj.
