आगरा में ताजमहल के ऊपर ड्रोन उड़ाने की घटनाएं सनसनी फैला रही हैं। पिछले कई माह में ताज की 500 मीटर की यलो जोन के प्रतिबन्धित क्षेत्र में ड्रोन उड़ाने की घटनाओं ने सुरक्षा अधिकारियों में अफरा तफरी मचाई है। फतेहपुर सीकरी में भी यदा कदा ऐसी घटनाएं होती रही हैं। प्रायः प्रतिबंधित क्षेत्र में ड्रोन उड़ाने की गलती विदेशी पर्यटक ही करते हैं क्योंकि उन्हें नियमों की जानकारी नहीं होती।

आज भी सुबह ताजमहल के पास स्थित मेहताब बाग के पास ग्यारह सीढ़ी से एक ड्रोन कैमरा उड़ाये जाने की सूचना के बाद सुरक्षा एजेंसियों ने पांच रूसी पर्यटकों को पूछताछ के लिये हिरासत में लिया और ड्रोन कैमरे को अपने कब्जे में ले लिया। थाना पर्यटन पुलिस के अनुसार उक्त पांच रूसी पर्यटकों ने मेहताब बाग से पहले ग्यारह सीढ़ी से ड्रोन कैमरा उड़ाने का प्रयास किया गया। ड्रोन कैमरा जमीन से मात्र पांच-छह मीटर ऊपर ही उड़ा होगा कि ताजमहल की सुरक्षा में तैनात पुलिसकर्मियों की उन पर निगाह पड़ी और तत्काल उन्होंने उक्त ड्रोन कैमरा उड़ाने से पर्यटकों को रोका और ड्रोन कैमरे को अपने कब्जे में ले लिया। पर्यटन पुलिस ने पांचों रूसी पर्यटकों से पूछताछ की और उन्हें प्रतिबंधित क्षेत्र में ड्रोन कैमरा उड़ाने को लेकर चेतावनी दी। पर्यटकों को नियमों की जानकारी नहीं थी। उनसे माफीनामा लिखवा कर और हिदायत देकर छोड़ दिया गया और उनका ड्रोन कैमरा भी वापस कर दिया।
