सप्ताहांत: अंधेरा क्या है? आइये जानें और भगाएं इसे
सुबह मॉर्निंग वॉक करते जाते समय कभी अंधेरा नहीं लगता था। एक दिन लगा कुछ अंधेरा सा है।पता लगा उस दिन स्ट्रीट लाइट नहीं जल रही थीं। बात छोटी सी थी लेकिन कितना बड़ा संदेश दे रही थी-प्रकाश का अभाव ही अंधकार है। बड़े बड़े साधु-संतों के प्रवचन सुने,पुस्तकों में उपदेश पढ़े कि अंधकार कुछ होता ही नहीं है, अंधकार नाम की कोई चीज नहीं होती। परंतु अहसास अचानक हुआ।इसका मतलब है यदि रात को भी सूरज निकले तो रात ही नहीं होगी। रात वाले क्रिकेट मैच के मैदान में ऐसा लगता है जैसे दिन हो। केवल लाइट के कारण। मुंबई के बारे में कहा जाता है कि वहाँ कभी रात ही नहीं होती, क्योंकि वहाँ हमेशा चहल पहल रहती है, लाइट की चकाचौंध रहती है।
परंतु एक दूसरा पक्ष भी है जो यह कहता है कि अंधकार ही सब कुछ है। संसार की बैक ग्राउंड अंधेरी है, बस जहाँ जहाँ प्रकाश आता जाता है, अंधकार हट जाता है।प्रकाश अस्थाई है, अंधेरा स्थाई है।
प्रकाश हम सभी को अच्छा लगता है, क्योंकि प्रकाश में ही हम देख पाते हैं कि कौन-सी चीज क्या है। प्रकाश बस एक क्षणिक घटना है। इसका स्रोत जल रहा है, कुछ समय के बाद यह जल कर खत्म हो जाएगा। चाहे वह बिजली का बल्ब हो या सूरज। एक कुछ घंटों में जल जाएगा, तो दूसरे को जलने में कुछ लाख साल लगेंगे, लेकिन वह भी जल जाएगा।
सूर्योदय के साथ दिन शुरू होता है, परंतु सूर्य हमेशा तो था नहीं और न हमेशा रहेगा, हर प्रकाशित वस्तु कभी न कभी अपने को जला लेती है। तो फिर सूर्य से पहले और सूर्य के बाद क्या है? क्या चीज हमेशा थी और हमेशा रहेगी? वह है अंधकार। यह पक्ष ईश्वर को भी अंधकारमय मानता है। इनके अनुसारशून्यता का अर्थ है अंधकार। हर चीज शून्य से पैदा होती है। विज्ञान ने आपके लिए यह साबित कर दिया है और आपके धर्म हमेशा से यही कहते आ रहे हैं – ईश्वर सर्वव्यापी है। शिव अंधकार की तरह सांवले हैं। शिव शाश्वत क्यों हैं? क्योंकि वे अंधकार हैं। वे प्रकाश नहीं हैं। प्रकाश बस एक क्षणिक घटना है। अंधकार सर्वव्यापी है। लेकिन हम अंधकार को नकारात्मक समझते हैं। यह सिर्फ हमारे भीतर बैठे हुए भय के कारण है।हमारी समस्या की यही वजह है। यह सिर्फ हमारी समस्या है, अस्तित्व की नहीं। अस्तित्व में हर चीज अंधकार से पैदा होती है। प्रकाश सिर्फ कभी-कभी और कहीं-कहीं घटित होता है। हम आसमान में देखें तो पाएंगे कि तारे बस इधर-उधर छितरे हुए हैं और बाकी सारा अंतरिक्ष अंधकार है, शून्य है, असीम-अनंत है। यही स्वरूप ईश्वर का भी है। इसीलिए हम कहते हैं कि मोक्ष का अर्थ पूर्ण अंधकार है। यही वजह है कि योग में हम हमेशा यह कहते हैं कि चैतन्य अंधकार है।
दीपावली पर हम दीप जला कर उसी अंधकार को देखने का प्रयास करते हैं, इस अंधकार के गर्त में जीवन की जो सच्चाई छिपी है एक दीप उसे उजागर करता है। पँचदिवसीय दीपोत्सव का आज चतुर्थ दिवस है, गोवर्धन पूजा। आप सभी को दीपोत्सव की बधाई,आइये आज भी एक दीप और जलाएं और निहारें उज्ज्वल भविष्य की ओर।

End of Week: What is darkness? Let’s learn and drive it away
It was never dark while going for morning walk. One day it felt like something dark. It seemed that the street lights were not burning that day. The matter was small but it was giving a big message – lack of light is darkness. Listen to the sermons of great saints and saints, read the sermons in books that darkness does not happen, there is nothing called darkness. But the realization came suddenly. It means that if the sun comes out even at night, it will not be night. In the field of a night cricket match it feels like day. Only because of the light. It is said about Mumbai that there is never a night there, because there is always a walk, there is a dazzle of light.
But there is another side which says that darkness is everything. The back ground of the world is dark, just where the light comes, darkness is removed. Light is temporary, darkness is permanent.
Light is good for all of us, because in light, we can see what is what. Light is simply a transient event. Its source is burning, after some time it will end up burning. Whether it is an electric bulb or the sun. One will burn in a few hours, the other will take a few lakh years to burn, but it will also burn.
The day begins with the sunrise, but the sun was not always, nor always will be, every illuminated object burns itself at some time or the other. So what is there before the sun and after the sun? What was always and always will be? That is darkness. This side also considers God to be dark. According to them, zero means darkness. Everything is born from zero. Science has proved this for you and your religion has always been saying this – God is omnipresent. Shiva is dark like dark. Why is Shiva eternal? Because they are darkness. They are not light. Light is simply a transient event. Darkness is omnipresent. But we consider darkness as negative. It is only because of fear sitting within us. This is the reason for our problem. This is just our problem, not existence. Everything in existence is born of darkness. Light only occasionally and sometimes happens. If we look in the sky, we will find that the stars are scattered here and there and the rest of the space is dark, zero, infinite and infinite. This is also the form of God. That is why we say that salvation means complete darkness. This is the reason why in yoga we always say that Chaitanya is darkness.
On Deepawali, we try to see the same darkness by lighting a lamp, a lamp illuminates the truth of life which is hidden in the pit of darkness.
